halie ellis [ Coast Mountain Mama ]

One by Kathryn Otoshi

The author, Kathryn Otoshi, has written a story on the subject of bullying in such an imaginative and compelling way. Both Dryden and I couldn’t even wait to turn each and every page.

Synopsis; BLUE is a quiet color. RED is a hot head. RED likes to pick on BLUE. YELLOW, GREEN, PURPLE, and ORANGE don’t like what they see, but what can they do? When no one takes a stand, things get out of hand. Until ONE comes along and shows all the colors how to stand up and COUNT.

This book will give any parent or teacher the opportunity to initiate a discussion about bullying to preschoolers, through at least 6th grade. I think any age really.

We’ve found another gem, to say the least.
